Council Arts Awards & The Anglo Celt. Born and raised in the North Leitrim Glens, Stephen is the current All-Ireland Slam Poetry champion since last November. He was described as a highlight of the 2014 Electric Picnic in the Irish Times and since went on to perform to crowds estimated in excess of 100,000 people on the streets of Dublin last October. He's headlined a number of events ranging from the poetry stage at last year's Castlepalooza festival in Co. Offaly to 'The Drunken Retort' in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the U.S. last December. He's featured at nights ranging from Out-Spoken in London to the Lingo Festival in Dublin and also recently featured in the documentary 'A Rebel Act - Poems That Shaped The Nation' that aired on RTE1 at the end of January. His work aims to bring poetry back to the people and to remove the elitism often associated with the art. Liam McCabe: Member of Shouting at Planes and solo artist.
