Blue Valentines presents Gangs at Café Sessions Chapter 1 Special Guest: Parviz Thursday: 10 September 8pm Adm: Suggested donation €5 unwaged €3 Assisted by Cavan Co. Council Arts Awards & The Anglo Celt. Since their formation two years ago, the four-piece band has gone on to sell out many of Dublin’s music venues and truly taken the music scene by storm. The band recently received high praise from esteemed artists Gem Archer and Andy Bell from Beady Eye, a testament to how far they have come in such a short period. In 2014 alone, GANGS headlined the famous Whelan’s ‘Ones To Watch Festival’ and played The Great Escape in Brighton, while drawing sizeable crowds to various shows across the UK and Ireland. Most recently, GANGS have been invited to play the sold out Electric Picnic festival, a clear sign of just how fast things are moving. We are , a Rock n Roll four piece out of Dublin, made up of Jordan Curtis, Dan Smith, James Connolly, and Jonny Halpin. We like nothing better than getting onstage and letting it happen , whatever "it" may be . “Clearly, this band wants to let their riff-led rock do the talking.” – Hot Press “Laid back and cool, Gangs exude a natural self confidence in their rock n roll that convinces even the most sceptical listener that they are missing out by not taking notice.” – Echo Life “The sheer force of their bone-rattling sound is something very special indeed” – The Last Mixed Tape “Gangs music has a unique and timeless quality to it.” - Ella UK “One of Irelands hottest musical prospects” – The Sunday World “Way beyond anything i was doing at that age” – Gem Archer , Oasis.
