Council Arts Awards & The Anglo Celt. Orchid Collective has a loyal fanbase from a solid year of touring Ireland, with festival appearances at Spirit of Folk, Glasgowbury and Knockanstockan. With their second single and video Lay as Stone released in March, and having started the year as Whelans “one to watch”, 2016 looks to be a promising year for the band. They’ve been featured in HOTPRESS. Described by the State.ie as “a gem of new Irish music” and with their new single having been described as “a beauty...gorgeous, gorgeous track…”, Dan Hegarty (RTE 2FM), the band are looking to build on their momentum by touring Ireland extensively over the coming year.
