'an impressive collection of effervescent folk pop with big slabs of smile-inducing tracks’
- Nialler9, Irish Times
‘Like people such as St.Vincent or James Vincent Mc Morrow, Inni-K is one of those rare singers that will impress almost anyone with a passing interest in music. ‘The King Has Two Horse’s Ears' has strength in its every note, yet it rarely needs to flex its muscles. Here's a debut to celebrate.’
- Dan Hegarty, 2fm, 2XM
‘Inni-K is a force to watch. She is more than a singer, more than a musician and she is both in great measure.’
- Liam Ó Maonlaí
With her transcendent voice and beautiful new songs, set off with tight musicianship and arresting stage craft; singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Inni-K released her exciting new debut ‘The King has Two Horse’s Ears’ early this year to critical acclaim. Joined by drummer and percussionist Brian Walsh and double bassist Cormac O’Brien, Inni-K simply delights with her unique brand of offbeat folk.
Inni-K’s journey to date has been a wild and enjoyable one; she has featured on Other Voices, was requested by world renowned Malian kora master Toumani Diabaté to perform with him at Cork Opera House; she has shared stages with Efterklang, Glen Hansard, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Wallis Bird, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Tiny Ruins & many more. She has performed for An t-Uachtarán Michael D. Higgins on numerous occasions and has toured all over the world singing & playing with a contemporary dance theatre company.
Her debut album ‘The King has Two Horse’s Ears’ brings out the best of Inni-K’s unique indie-folk treasures, with the help of the immense skills of band members Brian Walsh on drums & percussion, Cormac O'Brien on double bass & guests Seán Mac Erlaine on clarinets & chalumeau and Kevin Murphy on cello.
