Carrickmacross Arts Festival 2017

The first ten acts for Carrickmacross Arts Festival 2017 have been announced and it’s shaping up to be one of the festivals of the Summer.

Double Platinum, Mercury Nominated, Pop Rock Londoners, The Magic Numbers will be making their way to county Monaghan this August and will be joined by Choice Music Prize 2017 Nominees We Cut Corners and Choice song of the year nominees Heroes in Hiding. The hilarious genius behind The Savage Eye, Mr. David McSavage is also announced and joining him on the Comedy stage is award-winning stand up and sketch comedian Lisa Casey.

The line-up boasts a healthy array of rising musical talent too with the likes of TPM, Accidents in the Workplace, Grace Wilde, Nix Moon and We, The Oceanographers making their way to the sunny south Monaghan Drumlins this Summer.

Affectionately known as Ireland’s Biggest Small Festival, Carrickmacross Arts Festival has previously played host to the likes of Declan O’Rourke, Delorentos, DeDannan, Ham Sandwich, John Spillane, Kila, The Frank and Walters and Wallis Bird in recent years and has received nominations for “Best Small Festival” at the European Festival Awards and “Best Overseas Festival” at the UK Festival Awards.

The four day unique boutique festival runs from August 10th to 13th and includes original music, comedy, poetry, cinema, arts & crafts, artisan trade stalls and Children’s Activities.
