Training of Youth Facilitators

Are you a Young Voices participant who would like to develop your Facilitation Skills?!


If so, apply here for a chance to join a group of young people from all across Ireland who will attend a residential training course on March 22nd - 24th in the scenic mountains of Co. Wicklow!


What? A training course for young people who are involved in activities that provide opportunities to influence positive change and want to increase their facilitation skills and take on the challenge of bringing Young Voices to your own area! Training will include the following;

Exploring and developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be a facilitator.

Who?  Young People aged 16 to 30yrs who are interested in further developing local activities within the Young Voices banner AND of course want to be part of creating positive change Personally, Locally, Nationally, Globally! 

Young people who see themselves being changemakers and are committed to taking action!

When?  Friday March 22nd to Sunday March 24th. Arrival Friday evening, departure Sunday after lunch.

(public transport costs will be covered for the return journey to Dublin and then transport will be provided from Dublin to the venue and back on the Sunday afternoon)

Where? Glencree centre for peace and reconciliation, Co. Wicklow. A residential training centre in the scenic location of the Wicklow mountains with top quality accomodation and training facilities. 

Why?  To support young people who want to further develop and enhance their capacity to engage in change making activities within their own lives and in the groups, organisations and schools/colleges that they are part of already. 

Deadline for registration is Friday 1st March. Apply:


  • Under 18? You must fill out a consent form to attend the training so please consult with your parent/guardian before submitting the application. NYCI will have staff onsite for the duration of the training.
  • Application does not guarantee selection as we are limited by the funding available for this activity. If there is large interest there is a possibility that this training will be run again in the new year.
