Edit your Book with Brian Langan

10.30am-4.30pm - Johnston Library, Farnham Street, Cavan.
This intensive course over one day will explore the process of editing your own novel, how to prepare your work for submission and how to get the pitch right.
Through a collaborative process of workshopping, writing exercises and critiquing, course participants will look at aspects of honing their fiction writing including voice, character, setting and plot.
Writers will be asked to submit 10,000 words and a synopsis of a work-in-progress two weeks before the course commences.

Brian Langan is an editor at Transworld/Doubleday Ireland, an imprint of Penguin Random House. He works with both fiction and non-fiction, with authors including Donal Ryan, Shane Connaughton, Ciaran McMenamin and Colm O’Regan. Brian is also a published author and is currently writing his second novel.
