Expression of Interest for Musician / Singer or Musical Facilitator
The Local Arts in Education Partnership (LAEP) invites expressions of interest from Musicians / Singers / Musical Facilitators to work with young people in the North Cavan area in order to produce a song or piece of music reflecting the responses of the young people to the potential of music to address pertinent social inclusion issues for the young people. This music-making experience will culminate in a collective performance by the young people guided by the facilitator/s. The schools involved in the project are St Bricin’s College, Belturbet and St Mogue’s College, Bawnboy, Co Cavan.
Objectives

To improve participants musical understanding by engaging in an exciting, collaborative non-mainstream music education project.

To encourage participants to better understand musicianship.

To develop appreciation for the Arts in a fun way, in the classroom and outside the classroom environment.

To deliver a high-quality, diverse and engaging music-making experience.

To record the work of the young people as a legacy for this project.
