Camchuairt 2018 fógartha ag Foras na Gaeilge

25 Deireadh Fómhair 2017

Tá áthas ar Fhoras na Gaeilge sraith d’oícheanta eolais a fhógairt le scéimeanna maoinithe a bheidh ar fáil ón gcomhlacht thuaidh/theas don Ghaeilge in 2018 a chur chun cinn. Beidh an chéad cheann acu ar siúl ag Aonach an Oireachtais ag Oireachtas na Samhna i gCill Airne ar an 2 Samhain agus reáchtálfar ceann eile acu i gceannáras nua Fhoras na Gaeilge, 63-66 Sráid Amiens, Baile Átha Cliath 1, ar an 21 Samhain.

Le linn na n-oícheanta roinnfidh Foras na Gaeilge eolas faoi obair na heagraíochta, a scéimeanna maoinithe agus na tacaíochtaí atá ar fáil. Beidh deis ag an bpobal aiseolas a thabhairt maidir le cur chun cinn na Gaeilge ina cheantar féin agus ceisteanna a chur.

Dúirt Príomhfheidhmeannach Fhoras na Gaeilge, Seán Ó Coinn, “Tá ceantair áirithe thuaidh agus theas aitheanta againn óna bhfuil líon na n-iarratas ar ár scéimeanna maoinithe éagsúla measartha íseal le blianta beaga anuas. Le dul i ngleic leis seo, eagraíodh an chéad chamchuairt níos luaithe i mbliana le labhairt le pobail sna ceantair seo agus é mar aidhm againn feasacht a ardú faoi na deiseanna maoinithe agus tacaíochtaí atá ar fáil dóibh. Ba mhór an tairbhe a bhain leis na seisiúin sin toisc gur roinn rannpháirtithe aiseolas luachmhar linn atá anois tógtha ar bord againn. Táimid ag súil go mór le dul i mbéal an phobail arís leis an dara camchuairt seo le scéimeanna maoinithe 2018 a chur faoina mbráid.”

I measc na scéimeanna a bheidh á bplé beidh scéim nua, Grúpaí le Gaeilge, a fógraíodh ar an 23 Deireadh Fómhair. Spreagann an scéim deiseanna úsáide sa phobal trí mhaoiniú a chur ar fáil do ghrúpaí le clár gníomhaíochtaí a bhaineann le sainspéis atá acu a reáchtáil trí Ghaeilge.

At these nights Foras na Gaeilge will share information on the organisation’s work, its funding scheme and the supports available. The public will have an opportunity to give feedback on the promotion of Irish in their own area and ask questions.

The Chief Executive of Foras na Gaeilge, Seán Ó Coinn, “We have recognised certain areas north and south from which the number of applications to various funding schemes relatively low in recent years. To tackle this, the first tour was organised earlier this year to speak with the public in these areas with the aim of raising awareness of the opportunities for funding and support available to them. These sessions were very beneficial as the participants shared valuable feedback with us which we have taken on board. We look forward to engaging with the public again with this second tour to present the 2018 funding schemes. “

Included among the schemes to be discussed is a new scheme, Groups with Irish, announced on the 23 November. The scheme encourages opportunities for use in the community by providing funding for groups to run a programme of activities in Irish in connection with a special interest they have. Information will be shared as well about the Youth Activities Scheme, the Summer Camps Scheme and the publishing and writing schemes. Foras na Gaeilge will also provide funding in the business, arts, media and publishing sectors. Visit the Foras na Gaeilge website, www.forasnagaeilge.ie/sceimeanna, for a full list of the available schemes.
