Beloved Assassin, Andrew Jones

Local author, Andrew Jones, will launch his first novel ‘Beloved Assassin’ at Bailieborough Library on Saturday May 18.

The events in this story encompass the civil war years and afterwards. This is not a WAR story, but the story of one young man’s bizarre involvement in that momentous era. It is also the story of how four different women influenced his life. One almost got him killed, another saved him from death. The third rescued him from despair, while the fourth brought him a kind of contentment.

Andrew who is originally from Dublin now lives in Mullagh. He has won awards for short stories and flash fiction, winning the Roscommon Writer of the Year Award 2017 for one of his short stories.

Andrew will read from his book, which will be launched by Lit Lab member Honor Duff.

Refreshments will be served, entry is FREE and all are welcome.
