Cavan and Monaghan County Council’s are joining forces during Science Week by hosting the 4th Cavan Monaghan Science Festival from the 9th - 24th November 2019.
The objectives of the festival are to increase the awareness and visibility of science in our society, promote the importance of science for economic growth, to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) at a local & regional level and to show that STEM is fun, educational and social.
You are invited to enter a photography competition to showcase “Climate Action”.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The winners will be displayed in the events space in the Johnston Central Library in Cavan Town during the 2019 Science Festival. The winners will be announced at the beginning of the Cavan Monaghan Science Festival and their photographs will also feature in local media as well as other social media platforms and publications linked to the Science Festival.

The competition is open to over 18’s. We will accept up to 3 photographs per person in either colour or black and white.
Please include a description of your picture as well as your name, address, email and phone number on your entries.
Judges decision will be final.
