During Covid-19, I made masks using our 1860s Singer. Bosco our bull-terrier lent a hand. The spring blossoms are reminiscent of The Floo’ers o’ the Forest, written about Flodden’s fallen and echoing the ‘fallen’ in the pandemic.
I’m a 25-year-old artist and environmental scientist. After my science degree, I studied classical realism at the Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art. I like to experiment with colour, pattern and emotion, and work the symbolism of my life experiences into the background of my artwork.
