Are you an emerging artist passionate about making a difference through art?

The Culture and Health Platform invites you to be part of a transformative European initiative that connects art with health, care, education, and social well-being.

About the Project

Led by Culture Action Europe, the Culture and Health Platform (2024–2028) is a four-year initiative supporting over 200 emerging artists across Europe. The project empowers artists working at the intersection of culture, health, and community by offering grants, international networking opportunities and visability for your work

• Call Opens: 28 May 2025

• Call Closes: 11 June 2025

• Decisions Announced: 30 June 2025

• Project Start Date: No earlier than 1 August 2025

• Project End Date: By 30 February 2026

What We’re Looking For

We’re funding 6 artist-led projects in Ireland, each receiving a €4,000 grant.

One project will take place in Cavan Town, while others can be based anywhere in Ireland.

Your project should aim to enhance health and well-being through collaboration with the health, social, or education sectors.

Examples of Eligible Projects:

• Participatory art for people facing physical or mental health challenges

• Socially engaged art promoting illness prevention or better health outcomes

• Art installations in healthcare settings to support patients and staff

• Performances or exhibitions addressing health-related themes

• Artist residencies in hospitals, schools, or care homes

• Practice-based research in arts and health

Collaboration Requirement

Applicants must secure a letter of collaboration from a partner organisation (e.g., school, hospital, care home) before applying.

Who Can Apply?

• Individual emerging artists or artist duos

• Experience working with communities

• Interest in developing skills in arts & health

• Fluent English

• Willingness to engage in international collaboration
