Cavan County Council’s Cultural Sector (Arts Office, Cavan Heritage Office, Theatres, Libraries and Museum and the Geopark) is forming a panel of professional, motivated, enthusiastic and skilled artists in all arts disciplines to facilitate workshops and participative projects.
Artists applying to join Cavan County Councils’ Artists’ Panel will be qualified to work in a range of different settings throughout the county, which may include once off and medium-term quality arts projects with people of all ages. Working in partnership is a key element of arts participation and this opportunity is ideal for those who demonstrate that they combine a sense of fun, joy and collaboration with professional dedication and high artistic vision.
The formation of this panel will help the development of artistic practice and offer participative arts experiences in diverse contexts in County Cavan.
For example, artists from the panel may lead projects as part of:

Creative, Diverse and Inclusive Arts Programmes

Youth, Community and Older Peoples Projects

Local Arts and Education Programmes

Festivals and Live Events

Arts and Health
Emerging/Assistant Artists are also invited to join the panel and must demonstrate an interest in Arts Participation and willingness to work alongside an experienced artist. Artists appointed to the panel will be expected to take part in training and professional development opportunities arranged by Cavan County Council and to contribute to increasing public engagement in the arts in Cavan.
How do I join CAVAN COUNTY COUNCILS Artists’ Panel?
The Panel will be in place for three years (2023 to 2026). The setting up and establishment of the Panel will be done initially following a Tender competition, advertised on the eTenders website www.etenders.gov.ie. Artists interested in applying must apply on eTenders and submit their application as instructed in the eTender notice www.etenders.gov.ie . Once the Panel is established, new applicants can apply directly to the Arts Office of Cavan County Council for entry onto the Panel.
