Eimear Crowe is a ceramic artist working in Cavan she primary uses hand-built clay techniques with applied coloured slips and glazes. Her work considers the fragilities of the human condition, landscape, and culture. About the Artist:

Eimear studied at the Limerick school of art and Design where she completed a BA in Ceramics. She then got awarded a scholarship to complete a MA at the Cardiff Metropolitan University to develop her sculptural practice through the medium of clay. Here her work was influenced by the writings of Maurice Merleau Ponty and Luce Irigaray. After graduating she lived a life, travelled, became a mother.

She has worked for many years developing and delivering creative projects with an emphasis on the promoting an understanding of art practice in the education and community sectors. She has worked in both primary and secondary schools teaching art.

Eimear has previously exhibited her work locally with help from the local Cavan Arts Office. She has recently returned to focus entirely on her own art practice with ceramics and drawing at its core.

Eimear’s work primary uses hand-built clay techniques with applied coloured slips and glazes. Her work considers the fragilities of the human condition, landscape and culture.
