Circus Skills Workshop

Join the Cavan/ Monaghan Youth Arts Hub and Circusful for a tailored training designed to enhance your youth work ‘toolkit’ by adding a range of beginner circus skills!

This training workshop will provide practical tips and a beginner circus toolkit and aims to enhance your creative ability, artistic skills and confidence when working with young people. Eligible participants/organisations will receive an introductory circus toolkit which includes plenty of equipment so you can start using your new skills with groups straight away (see Eventbrite page for more details).

Training Objectives:

• Learn all about the wonder and colour of Circus and take part in a bespoke workshop for Youth Workers designed by a team of experienced Circus facilitators.
• To support participants to gain skills and creative confidence in integrating circus skills in the designing and implementation of youth work programmes
• To introduce participants to a circus toolkit that a will support the implementation of learning in a youth work context.

Circusful is one of Northern Ireland’s most successful arts organisations running an extensive programme of youth circus, professional training opportunities and staging performances. Their vision is a 21st Century where streets, hearts and minds are filled with the wonder and colour of circus. Every week, across the island of Ireland and beyond, they teach circus skills to people of all ages and abilities, bring events and conferences to life through the work of their professional artists and they add the wonder and colour of circus to other people’s festivals, events and workshops.
