Drumlinia Line Up 2024

Award winning singer-songwriter and composer Don Mescall together with Cavan Arts, Cavan InstituteTownhall Arts Centre and new media partner The Anglo Celt are back for the second year of DRUMLINIA MUSIC/MEDIA INDUSTRY FESTIVAL one of Ireland’s biggest music, media and creative arts industry festivals. 

This year’s Industry Day, (Thurs 24th Oct) and Workshop Day (Fri 25th Oct) are a must for anyone in the music, media, theatre or PR Industry or for those aspiring to be there. This year's speakers and tutors are some of the best known and well connected names on the Irish and International scene. DRUMLINIA FESTIVAL 2024 has two of Ireland's top artists headlining this year’s event who have carved out lifelong careers at home and internationally.

DAY 2: TUESDAY 22nd OCTOBER

PSTRYK!

 

An interactive musical experience designed for children aged 3-10 years. Featuring live music, this vibrant workshop will explore Polish and Irish folklore tunes, creative movement, spontaneous music creation, and a lot of fun!This performance is designed for ages 3-6.

The line up of guest speakers has just been announced and it is definitely a day not to be missed if you are serious about getting into the music, media, film or theatre industry! This will be an amazing day filled with interesting talks, Q&A’s, insight, knowledge and expertise from those who are at the pinnacle of their careers in the music/media industry. 

 

Cavan’s Louise O’Reilly will MC on the day. Each guest speaker will share insight and knowledge from their area of expertise. Willie Kavanagh (IRMA) will chair a Q&A section before lunch and at the end of the day where members of the audience will have their chance to ask questions.

John Saunderson - Nottinghill Music Group whose recent successes include Beyonce’s Cuff It, Meduza & Hozier’s Tell It To My Heart, and Tiesto’s All Nighter. 

 

Tom Nicholls - Producer/Engineer/Songwriter based in the UK.

 

Sharon Vaughn - Songwriter/Studio singer. Sharon Vaughn has written classic country songs, international pop hits, and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame 2019. As a studio singer Sharon has worked with Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Joan Baez and countless others. 

 

T.V., Film & Theatre

 

Mary Callery - Head of International/Executive Producer at ShinAwil working across the company’s scripted drama projects. Prior to that Mary spent 4 years as Project Manager at Screen Ireland/Fis Eireann where she served as executive producer on a range of feature films and documentaries. She was also Head of Development & Production/Executive Producer at Parallel Films. As Commissioning Editor for Drama at RTÉ she was responsible for all of RTÉ’s original drama programming both in-house and independently produced. Maryland (ITV) & The Catch (Channel 5). 

 

Philip Doherty - Writer/director, Redemption of a Rogue (2020), Samhlú 2020 2 time PJ O’Connor Award winner, Creative Director Fibín, Galway, & Gonzo Theatre Cavan.

 

Rex Ryan - Actor Borderline (2024), That Dirty Black Bag (2022), Cloud Cuckoo Land, Nominated for Best Actor in (2020); The Abbey Theatre & New Theatre. His plays have been performed in Ireland and off Broadway. As a director he has directed numerous new plays by some of Ireland's best playwrights.

 

 

PR, Communications & Music Generation

 

Sarah Murphy - Sarah is CEO of the Business Post and a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Business Post Group. The Business Post is Ireland’s leading business media brand. 

 

Rosaleen Molloy - is the National Director of Music Generation and has over 25 years’ experience working in the arts and cultural sector in Ireland. During that time, she has led the organisation from start-up and scaled it into a successful and sustainable multi-million-euro national programme that gives thousands of children and young people access to music education. She has extensive experience of brokering successful strategic partnerships across philanthropy (U2, The Ireland Funds, Bank of America, Stavros Niarchos Foundation), central government (Department of Education, The Arts Council, Creative Ireland) local statutory agencies (Education and Training Boards, Local Authorities) and local communities.
