Older People’s Council using theatre to promote Age Friendly Thinking

Cavan Older People’s Council are working on a new piece of theatre, devised by their group working with a theatre practitioner. The members of the Council are interested to explore and express issues that are of concern to them in contemporary Ireland and in particular matters that affect the life and health of Irish Society, as we age. Drama facilitator Maura Williamson has been appointed to work with the group during April and May through writing and improvisation workshops. The play will be honed by the facilitator and rehearsed by the group for a series of performances by the Older People’s Council in early Summer 2018.
