The exhibition will be opened on Thursday 23 July at 7pm by Aishling Blackburn and all are welcome to attend.

Aishling Blackburn is a photographer, film-maker and horticulturalist.

Eimear Crowe has recently completed a residency at Bullock Lane, Cavan supported by Cavan County Council arts office and the Arts Council. This exhibition is the culmination of an intense period of work and exploration on domestic objects with particular focus on the spoon.   In her work Crowe re-examines the use of domestic tools and their production exploring themes of gender, identity and interior space.   Eimear says, " my work in this exhibition examines the perception and use of the domestic tool at our disposal.   I worked with young people at Breifne College during my residency at Bullock Lane.   They were very interested and involved in the clay work.   I think they enjoyed the making process"   A series of spoons created by the students from Breifne College are on show as part of the exhibition.   This exhibition is available to travel to other venues and it will be included at the Virginia Agricultural Shows, later this summer.

Eimear Crowe has recently facilitated Ark 1x1 at National Schools in County Cavan and an exhibition of the work of the contemporary artists and work from the school children took place at Johnston Central Library as the culmination of the project.
