Developing Creative Practice across borders: Feile

Sally O'Dowd is a performance artist and curator who co founded the group TransArt at 61. College Street, Cavan Town.  Sally is the last artist to work on the placement to Estonia for Building Peace through the Arts from 28 September - 10 October 2014. 

Joe Keenan is new to Cavan Arts Office and he takes over from Gretta McCarron who now works at Queens University, Ulster.

 

Cavan artists participatie in FEILE Belfast as part of the Developing Creative Practice Across Boarders Project.

FEILE Belfast is an annual cultural festival held in West Belfast every August. The Cavan Arts Office Developing Creative Practice Across Borders project is sending 5 artists to FEILE this summer. They are presenting workshops and participating in many of the activities happening over the 2 week music and arts festival.

 

They will be in good company with performers like Boyzone and Francis Black and many other artists, musicians, Carnival parades, dance competitions and comedy nights.

Cavan artists prepare for their trip to FEILE Belfast.Belfast Feile is underway with a group of Cavan artists  participating in the Developing Creative Practice Across Borders project hosting events and workshops. Jim Fee is presenting his work at St. Mary's University College; Heather Brett is giving a Poetry and Art workshop and Eimear Crowe, Elaine Brady and Gianna Tasha Tomasso are all contributing to the organisation of the events.

Cavan artists participate in Feile an Phobail Belfast

Cavan artists are busy in Belfast supporting the Feile an Phobail festival in Belfast this week why not go up there this weekend and support this wonderful community endeavour.

Mr. Jim Fee from Blacklion Cavan is attending Feile an Phobail this week as part of the Cavan Arts Office Developing Creative Practice Across Borders project. Despite bad weather over the weekend there are many more events on offer this weekend in Belfast. The weather promises sunshine so do go along and support this wonderful cultural event.

Eimear Crowe gave some local children her expert guidance at an art workshop.
